  • Investigación de Tendencias para el sector Hábitat

    Organizada por el Cluster Habic en La espectacular Alhóndiga de Bilbao, a jornada estuvo dirigida a los gerentes y responsables de marketing y producto de empresas relacionadas con el hábitat, oficina y el contract, arquitectos y diseñadores de interiores y diseñadores industriales, quienes  disfrutaron de la presencia de Jorge Rodriguez Nieto, profesor de ELISAVA y actualmente Investigador de Algo Bueno y Director de MIDI Master en Investigación para el Diseño y la Innovación; y Manuel Torres Acemel, también profesor de ELISAVA y que en la actualidad además de dirigir su empresa forma parte del Consejo Asesor de diversas empresas y fabricantes de elementos de Diseño Industrial. Los participantes reflexionaron sobre aspectos de la innovación y la relación de su industria con las tendencias locales y globales y oportunidades de proyección a futuro a través del acercamiento e interacción con diferentes capas y niveles de usuarios y clientes. Muchos de ellos comentaron : ¨Nos habéis hecho pensar mucho en temas y oportunidades nuevas, nos habéis abierto la mente¨. Es interesante anotar que sectores como el del hábitat y el contract vinculados fuertemente al sector inmobiliario y de diseño de producto, esta encontrando nuevas e interesantes maneras de repensarse y renovarse en el difícil entorno actual que presenta la economía española.     Identidades híbridas es uno de los proyectos de investigación que mas nos ilusiona realizar recientemente. Con antecedentes en proyectos anteriores sobre diversidad lingüística en Europa e historia de la diversidad sexual, Identidades Híbridas nos ayuda a abordar temas mas íntimos, amplios y mas emocionantes. Identidades Híbridas surge de la inquietud por el origen y la mezcla. Nos hemos mirado a nosotros mismos y nos damos cuenta que las identidades en lugar de reafirmarse y reivindicarse constantemente cambian y se mezclan de una manera maravillosa. Nuestra propia identidad se transforma cada día tal como se trasforma la de nuestras familias y mis amigos a medida que pasa el tiempo, nuestra vida cambia en la medida que aprendemos, interactuamos con nueva gente, nueva información, nuevos afectos y nuevos estímulos. La identidad es un proceso de permanente construcción y transformación, mediante el cual enriquecemos nuestra vida y nuestro conocimientos a través de la interacción con el mundo y con otros seres vivos.  No para nunca y no podemos evitarlo. Cada cosa que vemos comemos, compartimos o cada lugar que visitamos, nos impregna con nueva información y sensaciones que despiertan en cada uno de nosotros un nuevo rasgo identitario. A través de ello crecemos a nivel personal, profesional, intelectual y espiritual. Con esta base en mente y habiendo realizado algunos videos/testimonio nos decidimos a participar del Taller de co-creación organizado por el CCCB Lab y realizado por Cocreating Cultures en Barcelona con la participación de mas de 30 personas.     Para el segundo semestre del año, hemos realizado un acuerdo con FNAC por el medio del cual cada mes se presentarán proyecciones y workshops de Videopolis 2011 en un FNAC Forum de Barcelona.  Las primera tiendas FNAC Participantes son FNAC Arenas, La Maquinista y L´Illa en donde realizaremos la presentación de cortos, documentales, animaciones, videoclips, y cortos experimentales provenientes de más de 25 países y centrados en historias urbanas. El taller Short Movies in your Pocket se realizará en cada una de las tiendas FNAC de barcelona y  los trabajos finalizados se incluirán en la sección Videopolis Lab para ser proyectados dentro de la programación. Es gratuito y solo se necesita un teléfono móvil o cámara de fotos, un computador portátil y una historia que contar.     The powerful internet  consumer and the vulnerable citizen Online retailing and service providing has broaden the number of professions in a way, that no industry or employment policy in the world has ever reached. Free exchange and contribution has reached high levels of relevance as much as online stores, online education and content consumption via streaming. All this changes the way we buy and sell, but most of all changes the way we make decisions about it. Control mechanisms have been created to follow and understand all sources of information, paths, tracks and the digital print all of us leave behind when online, this way governments companies and big corporations keep control of the flows of information shared, sold and offered in the net. So we can practically know almost everything that people do or think when online, assuming they do not ever lie. Are the new generations becoming the new rebels for a digital nation or is the digital environment educating them ? Access vs property (for everyone?) This week Apple announced the release of its latest operating system. This time it won´t be possible to buy it at any store but exclusively online. Amazon has launched it program to rent text books to scholars instead of selling them, someone called this a sustainable initiative. What will happen when computers, can only operate if they are connected to the web and when would it become illegal to avoid digital surveillance? Access to contents, cloud computing, interconectivity and the possibility to be “always on” means that a lot of information, resources, software and applications will be available for many people, to be used even free of charge. But also means everything we do in that environment leaves a track, a statistic that makes databases grow and become more and more efficient. Optimizing this databases provides hints on what people, like, do , approach, enjoy and need and also allows marketeers, governments and power circles to control and direct information, reactions and scenarios in the digital world. Property (specially intellectual property) becomes and obsolete idea under the slogan of sharing and collaborating. Is the market ready for this revolution? Is it ready to change and adapt at this pace ? What are communication and advertising agencies capable of offering in this environment? or will this revolution transform our actual concept of markets and trade?     Recent events in global economy and politics make us think about the ways consumption, production and communications are rapidly changing the old ideas of buying and selling. Corporations and companies seem to be in the task to think again and act in new ways, finding new ways to get in touch with massive amounts of  consumers and users, that rapidly change their attitudes and approach, towards products and services in the market. Every change brings more changes and I am truly happy to witness this. It creates a particular state of mind where rigid structures see the need for renovation abandoning part of their established safe zones. In a word,  we are all allowing ourselves to evolve a little. Rethinking the sense, goals and methods to connect with audiences, will probably provide the basis for deep changes in society as in markets. Some markets becoming more user oriented and other just turning more wild and tough. Production of goods and services has overwhelmed users and a loss of interest in  accumulation has started growing when people found themselves surrounded by more offers than their capability of consumption or even needs. Abundance of goods and over production made corporations earn so much that a polarization of economic power has grown at the point of making them more powerful than many countries and regions, giving them politic influence and the possibility of changing and creating law.     Last week a very big event gathering more than 300 sales executives from around the planet took place at in Barcelona. Open Text´s the Art of Good Business is the annual get together for the sales force of this Canadian Multinational that sells software and digital solutions, content management protocols and consulting to goverments, other multinationals and international organizations. 3 days of lectures, coffee breaks, conferences, live music, stand up comedy, parties and team building activities were registered, organized and edited by the audiovisual team of Algo Bueno. Guests from Germany, UK, France, Canada, Italy, Netherlands and the USA enjoyed the many attractions of the and had a lot of fun while competing for the best performance in selling millions of dollars in services globally.     Communication Skills for the Deaf and Functionally Diverse ASU (Artistas Sordos Unidos) United Deaf Artists from Catalonia (Spain), have asked us to design a program on Social and Professional Communication skills specially designed to provide deaf people with tools to socialize and make their professional growth easier. The interaction between the deaf community and the hearing community in most countries is determined by the approach each community has on each other and the bridges that can be built to bring both groups closer. Even when we can hear and talk, our communication levels with Functionally Diverse groups ( blind, deaf, mute, etc) is very limited. When communication codes change and new languages appear social groups tend to separate instead of learning new codes to interact. As a majority, the hearing community does not really make the effort to establish links with non-hearing non-seeing members of society. So minorities usually make this effort and develop a kind of bilingualism (lip reading + sign language) to be able to participate in societies not ready for the Functionally Diverse. The program Algo Bueno has designed for ASU considers both sides: the understanding of hearing peoples codes and points of view, the limitations of hearing people to learn new codes and the enhancement of communication true visual and written codes and tools. internet for example becomes a great place for professional and social development of non-hearing + hearing interaction since there we are strongly visual + text oriented.   • Event Production for Canadian Medical Media in Barcelona

    This year Euro PCR 2009 has been held in Barcelona from 19th-22nd May it is the official congress of the European Association of Percutaneous Cardiovascular Interventions (EAPCI). Canadian Media Broadcast Team from WebMD hired Algo Bueno to develop the Executive Production of a Stage Live Conference, filmed by 5 cameras and edited live in a postproduction room in the back of the stage. The Live Show 3 Experts and a host would be in front of a 120 people audience to discuss about Timing of Inhibition of Platelet Aggregation at the America Room at the Zero Hotel. The Small Studio At the same time starting on may 19 a small studio for interviews was set at the AC Hotel to record individual interviews with other scientists for the regular program of WebMD´s website a total of 12 interviews where recorded. A team of 20 people ( 5 cameramen, 2 make up artists 2 producers, 4 assistants, 1 Stage manager, 1 sound technician, 2 lighting technicians and 3 stage grips) was coordinated by Algo Bueno to develop on time and perfect shape the requirements of our clients. #production #stage #show #event #audience #canada #service #live #video #sound #media #medical #convention #cameramen

    Barcelona Activa is the local economic development agency, where entrepreneurs find all the resources to start any business. During 200/07 members of Algo Bueno where trained for 6 months at Barcelona Activa to develop the strategies and business plan that would make our organization come to live. We have designed two workshops: one called Corporate Communications for Small Businesses and another one called Corporate Communications in Digital Environments where we provide participants with the structure to develop a corporate communications plan that can be developed in real life and also in cyberspace. Algo Bueno has joined forces to provide a wide, creative and up-to-date view of Company Communications today, the way they have become handy for all companies and how internet has become a powerful tool for entrepreneurs. Today we feel proud to be able to give back some of our experiences and knowledge to a new generation of entrepreneur who are shaping their business ideas and take the risk of starting their own business.
