Construyendo Cultura de Red para GIF Internews Gracias a nuestra estrecha colaboración con Team CommUNITY y en el ánimo de fortalecer redes que impactan positivamente nuestra sociedad, hemos trabajado con líderes y participantes del proyecto GIF (Greater Internet Freedom) en Nairobi, Kenya para crear modelos de colaboración interna e intercambio de conocimientos sobre muy diversos aspectos de la seguridad y los derechos digitales. Más de 100 organizaciones alrededor del mundo participan del proyecto financiado por USAID e implementado por Internews, trabajando para establecer unos parámetros de actuación, intercambio, socialización y participación que respeten los derechos de todas las personas en el mundo digital. Habitamos Internet desde hace más de 30 años ya, pero aún no hemos establecido las estructuras sociales, económicas y políticas que garanticen totalmente la seguridad y los derechos de las personas y sus datos en el mundo virtual. Tres actividades han sido clave en el ejercicio de fortalecimiento de esta red: 1. La primera ha sido el mapeo geográfico de talentos y de la estructura organizacional de sus participantes y entidaades, que logró descubrimientos para agilizar y facilitar procesos de soporte e intercambio. 2. La segunda ha sido nuestra inmersión urbana en Nairobi que clarificó las necesidades y conocimientos de usuarios comunes sobre seguridad y derechos digitales. 3. Y la tercera el diseño de servicios internos que las organizaciones miembros de la red pueden ofrecer como soporte y crecimiento a sus otros miembros. Siendo una red tan grande el mapeo y la articulación de estos servicios se hace necesaria y ayuda a cohesionar y articular todas las actividades ys en vicios que GIF ofrece al público y a las comunidades alrededor del mundo. Mapear los propios talentos de la organización, convertirlos en servicios internos y entender a fondo las percepciones y necesidades de nuestros usuarios fortalecen la cultura de trabajo y hace que los procesos fluyan más agilmente. Gracias a Team CommUNITY por invitarnos e incluirnos, a Internews por generar y apoyar este proceso y a los maravillosos participantes y líderes que siguen trabajando por una seguridad e igualdad de la que muchos aún no somos totalmente conscientes.

Formed in Bogotá during 2004, retroVISOR is integrated by musicians and artists who have been working the fields of academic music, jazz, world music and Visual Arts. Social and environmental consciousness, a reflection on the role of technology in our lives and the contrast between the old and the new are among the themes that inspire their work. Their first work, Amazonas S.O.S., has was released in April 2007 as an independent self produced work. Working for Momentum McCann in Stockholm It was a great experience to work for the SIDA (Swedish International Development Agency) Seminar on Gender Based Violence held in Stockholm last September 12th. The event gathered more than 15 speakers from around the world including the Swedish Minister for International Development, African Ministers and lecturers as well as American and Latinamerican country representatives where this topic is a very strong cultural issue. Momentum Stockholm organized the whole programme and took care of every detail. The event was held at SIDA headquarters a very modern complex in uptown Stockholm. SIDA´s interest in collaborating with developing and European countries where gender equity is still not a reality (most of them) raises many questions about our perception of what daily violence really is and its consequences and many ideas for understanding tribes and groups of our society. We developed a visual diary of participants, lectures, workshops and the organization of the event.
